Rose Louise Saia, 94, Helena, Arkansas passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010 in Helena. Mrs. Saia was born March 28, 1916 in Benoit, Mississippi to the late Charles and Louise Brocato. She was co-owner and operator of Tony's Barbecue and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Mrs. Saia is survived by a son, Billy Saia of West Helena; daughter-in-law, Shirley Saia of West Helena; granddaughters, Cheryl Saia Scarbrough of West Helena, Barbara Saia Tucker of Orlando, Florida and Tisha Saia Hooker of Memphis, Tennessee; grandson, Sam Saia, Jr. of West Helena; step-granddaughters, Amy Schwantz of Lexa, Arkansas, Dana Dailey of West Helena and Cheryl Moore of Marion, Arkansas; step-grandson, Keith Brown of Elaine, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Beth Ann Scarbrough of West Helena, Mary Katherine and Emily Saia of West Helena, and Shelby Tucker of Orlando, Florida, Blake Doster of Ozark, Arkansas, and Amber, Brandon and Cameron Hooker of Memphis, Tennessee; and step-great-grandchildren, Delaney Schwantz of Lexa, Will Dailey of West Helena, Carter Moore and Sophie Moore of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Saia; her parents; and a son, Sam Saia, Sr.
Services for Rose Saia will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Helena. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m., with rosary services at 7:30 p.m. at Roller-Citizens. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Helena.
Pallbearers are Pat Truemper, Nunzio Messina, Adrian Messina, George Samuel Petkoff, Doe Signa and Charles Signa.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571
