When Willard Houston Shouppe was born on March 12, 1917, in Holmes, Florida, his father, Eramus, was 32 and his mother, Annie, was 18. He had one son and two daughters with between 1936 and 1940. He died in January 1987 in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 69.

Mamie Marie "Granny Ree" Shouppe, 94, of Conway went to join her heavenly family on Tuesday, February 24, 2009. She was born on Wednesday, August 26, 1914 in Enterprise, Alabama, to the late Wade and Anna (Smith) Farmer.
Mrs. Shouppe worked in the restaurant business for many years. Her family and friends always enjoyed the wonderful foods she prepared for them.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Virginia and Glenn Lawrence of Mayflower; two great-grandsons, Jeffrey and Diane Lawrence of Greenbrier, and Marcus and Lisa Lawrence of Conway; six great-great grandchildren, Emily, Abigail, and Nathaniel Lawrence of Conway, and Laci, Carrie, and Kaitlin Lawrence of Greenbrier; and many friends, who will miss her greatly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Shouppe, daughter, Evelyn McWaters Hairston of Mayflower, and two brothers.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway with Bro. Jesse Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Mayflower Cemetery with Mike Harrell, Bob Tyler, James Bruce, Blaine Lack, Claud Campbell, Doug Satterwhite, and Jeff Hurley, serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are her great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, February 27, 2009 at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of Glenn and Virginia Lawrence, 2 East Ridge Road, Mayflower, Arkansas.
