Thomas G. Dennis, 90 of Magnolia, AR died Saturday, 18, 2014 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR.
Thomas was born December 11, 1923 in Waldo, AR to the late Tom and Ruby (White) Dennis. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Thomas retired after 30 years from Continental Ensco and retired after 20 years as a bus driver from Magnolia Public Schools. He was a longtime member of the Central Baptist Church where he served as the Sunday school class secretary and kept the records for over 64 years and was a longtime member of the Magnolia Riding Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Patsy Ruth (Minor) Dennis; and two infant sons.
Thomas is survived by his sons Johnny Dennis and wife Jackie of Clarkton, NC and Ricky Dennis and wife Nena of Waldo; step grandsons Dexter and Garth Dees of Magnolia; sister Joyce Post and husband Benny of Smackover; nephews; one niece; several cousins and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22nd at Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Mike Seabaugh and Bro. John Marlar officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lamar Lee, Terrell Sledge, Terry Hanson, Benji Post, Ray Lindsey, Larry Polk, Danny Brazel, the Sr. Men's Sunday school class, Dexter Dees, and Garth Dees
