Doris Schibler, 93, of El Dorado, formerly of Magnolia, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. She was born October 30, 1925 to John O. Dahl and Jensine Rasmussen Dahl in Gruver, TX.
As a homemaker, she enjoyed taking care of her family, golfing, camping, and traveling. Doris traveled 49 states and Canada. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Sherman Schibler; infant son, John William Schibler; two sisters, Ingeborg Sogn, Selma Reneau; and brother, John Dahl.
Survivors include her two daughters, Delores Williford (Lonnie), Patty Hemperley (Johnny); three sons, David Schibler (Erin), Steve Schibler (Sharon), Robert Schibler (Ammie); sister, Betsy Ward; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and a great, great grandson.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Young's Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Faith Lutheran Church in Magnolia with Pastor Chuck Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
