Roy J. Trammell, 83, of Conway, died Tuesday (May 31, 2005).
Born July 17, 1921, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, son of the late Max Trammell and Hester Trammell Sweeney, he was a member of Harlan Park Baptist Church. He worked for the Civil Service as an aircraft mechanic and was a sergeant in the Army.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Trammell; a brother, Alfred Trammell; a sister, Polly Baker; and a stepbrother, Elmer Sweeney.
Survivors are his children, Mike Trammell of Hensley, Beverly McCune of Lonoke and Barbara Trammell of Conway; sisters, Ruth Wellington and Betty Brown; brother, Odis Sweeney, all of Texas; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Griffin Leggett-Conway with Roy Chatham officiating.
Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
