Doris Washam, 80, of Mayflower, Arkansas passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020. She was born June 25, 1940 to the late James and Elzie (Gentry) Brown in Saltillo, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William "Bill" Washam, sisters; Vernie Sowell, Geraldine Repine, Addie Loy, brothers; Walter Brown, Virgle Brown, Ferrel Brown, and Don Brown.

Doris was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mayflower. She dearly loved her church family and her 'Golden Girls.' Doris was fun loving and kind hearted. She loved gardening and raising beautiful flowers. Another one of her favorite pastimes was canning vegetables. Doris was handy at teaching anyone those skills that was willing to learn. She was an expert quilt maker devoted to making quilts for those she loved. She will be missed by many.
Doris is survived by her son, Michael Washam, sister, Sandra Kline, brother Vernon Brown, sisters-in-law; Shirley Washam, Becky (Ricky) Naylor, Beverly (James) Wheeler, Betsy (Michael) Caudle, forty-three nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Visitation will be Friday, November 6, 2020 from 10:00AM-2:00PM with family present from 1:00-2:00PM at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas, with funeral services following at 2:00PM. Interment will be at Mayflower Cemetery in Mayflower, Arkansas.

Roller Funeral Homes are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funerals and visitations to 100 people at one time. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering our funeral homes.

William “Bill” Anderson Washam passed away May 30th, 2018 at the age of 79. Born December 28th, 1938 in Mayflower to Payton Anderson Washam and Lois Powell Washam.

As their second child and first son, he was named for his father, grandfather and great-grandfather, his life exemplified the strength, character and dignity that his name implied.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris Brown Washam and their son, Michael Anderson Washam, his sisters, Shirley Washam, Becky Washam Naylor (Rick), Beverly Washam Wheeler (James), Betsy Washam Caudle (Michael), sister-in-law, Sandra Kline and brother-in-law, Vernon Brown and over 100 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents as well as brothers, Linn Washam and Roger Washam, sisters, Kathryn Washam Yant, Wanda Washam Thompson, Marilyn Washam and Linda Washam.

Funeral services are Saturday, June 2nd at 3:00 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, with Bro. James Loy officiating with visitation at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mayflower Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Karl Thennes, Lee Henson, Steve Yant, Brandon Brown, Chris Blackstone, and Michael Washam.
