When Elizabeth Ann "Della" Turner was born on September 4, 1885, in Conway, Arkansas, her father, Edward, was 29, and her mother, Mary, was 37. She married James Franklin Troutman on December 20, 1899, in Faulkner Township, Arkansas. They had ten children in 22 years. She died on January 18, 1960, in her hometown at the age of 79.
