Dominic J. “Nick” Brocato, age 87, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Mr. Brocato was born September 11, 1927 at Helena to the late Frank Brocato and the late Nettie Bevilaque Brocato. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Helena.

Big Nick loved spending most of his time outdoors whether it was fishing, hunting, gardening or just piddling with his tools. He was a devout Catholic. Family was his priority. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved reminiscing about childhood memories and his days spent in the Navy. He also loved all the times he spent with his beloved brother and all of his extended family. His wife was his most cherished love and he longed to be reunited with her. He lived a very fulfilled life and will be missed tremendously by many.

He is survived by his son, Nick Brocato (Mindy) of Texarkana, Arkansas; two daughters, Rita Brocato of Lexa, Arkansas and Janet Henderson (Billy) of Nacogdoches, Texas; five grandchildren, Jordan and Lindsay Henderson, Peyton, Griffin and Presley Brocato; one brother, Joe Brocato of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Patricia Ann Gray Brocato; one brother, Sam Francis Brocato; and one sister, Josephine Brocato.

A service for Nick Brocato will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Helena. Rosary service will be Friday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m., with visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Helena.

Pallbearers are Mike Brocato, David Brocato, Vince Brocato, Billy Ray Brocato, Mike Brasher and Dominic Brasher. Honorary pallbearers are Gerald Parker, Stanley Herrington, Erwin Herrington, Jeff Zink, Sam Saia, Jr., Watt Huff and Bud Huff.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Patricia Ann Brocato, 76, of Helena, Arkansas passed away September 24, 2011 at her home. Pat was born March 15, 1935 in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Lena Dodson Gray and the late Roy F. Gray. Pat was a 1953 graduate of Elaine High school and a long- time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was also a member of St. Ann's Circle. She was a retired employee of the Helena-West Helena School District and also served as a volunteer at the Helena Regional Medical Center.

Pat is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dominic J. Brocato of Helena; two daughters, Rita Brocato of Lexa, Arkansas and Janet Henderson and husband, Billy of Nacogdoches, Texas; one son, Nick Brocato and wife, Mindy of Texarkana, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Jordan and Lindsay Henderson and Peyton, Griffin, and Presley Brocato; two nieces, Peggy Wiggins and Sheila Fraiser both of West Helena, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Roy "Bud" Gray and Durwood Montgomery.

The family wishes to extend a special "thank you" to the Phillips County Health Department Hospice Team, Dr. Gill Pillow, Vanessa Stephens, Paula Downs, and Betty Heidelberger for their love, care, and kindness.

Funeral services for Patricia Ann Brocato will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Helena. Rosary services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena with visitation following from 7-9 p.m. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Helena.
