Whitson Kimbrow, 80, of Mayflower, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016. He was born August 16, 1935 in Shady Grove, Missouri to the late Whitson and Lernie Hadden Kimbrow.
Whit was a member of Central Baptist Church and served in the Automobile Industry for over 50 years. He was a distinguished member of the National Auto Dealers Council and was very active in the North Little Rock Kiwanis, where he held all offices to president. His passion for sports included the St. Louis Cardinals, Arkansas Razorbacks (Wild Hog Club), and the Dallas Cowboys. Most recently he was an employee of Lumber One of Mayflower and loved his Lumber One Family.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jerrie Beattie Kimbrow; children, Dale Wayne Kimbrow (Lisa) of Sherwood, Lori Michelle Phillips (Colby) of Nashville, Tennessee and Cary Lance Kimbrow (Jessica) of Little Rock; nine grandchildren, Lena Colschen (Michael), Whitney Mays (AJ), TJ Yates (Brittney), Jordan Yaes, Cydney Kimbrow, Caleb Kimbrow, Jayleigh Jones, Brexton Jones and Ava Claire Kimbrow; four great-grandchildren, Seagan De Oliveira, Leah De Oliveira, Swayzie Mays and Bryleigh Colschen; a brother, Calvin Kimbrow, Huntsville, AL., and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Delayne Kimbrow; grandson, Zachary Ryan Kimbrow; two sisters; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 17 at Central Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mayflower Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
