Kenneth Lamar Askew was born July 24, 1976 in Helena, Arkansas to the parentage of the late Phyllis Stanley and Kenneth Askew. Following Kenneth's mother's early demise, he was blessed with a second mother, Carolyn Askew. Ken relocated with his family to Atlanta, Georgia early in his childhood where he was educated in the Clayton County School System. As a youth Ken accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He attended Word Alive Ministry under the leadership of Bishop Elect Anthony Dixon. Ken was a brother and confidant that would give you the shirt off his back. He was always sharing and giving with a smile that would light up a room. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Stanley and paternal grandmother, Betty Jean Gailey. Ken will continue to live in the hearts of his sons, Antwan and Joseph; daughters, Kenya, Kiresha, Kelly, Naomi, Destini and Harmoni; father and mother, Kenneth and Carolyn Askew; maternal grandmother, Notie McGinister; brothers, Carlous, Marlon, Anthony and Jeremey; sisters, Marcia, Shanika, Renetta and Diana; a special friend, Shantel Cosby; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
