Thomas Neil Crowder, 89 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was born May 16, 1920 in Columbia County, Arkansas to the late Grover Fitzgerald and Lillie Mae (Burdine) Crowder. He was a letter carrier for twenty five years for the United States Postal Service. He was a member of Central Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, a member of the Masonic Lodge #82 where he was a 32nd Degree Mason, and active in many local charities and civic organizations.
He is survived by his wife of sixty four years, Mavis Crowder of Magnolia; one daughter, Rebecca Price and her husband Danny of Dardanelle, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Danielle Renee Price of Benton, Arkansas; two sisters, Elizabeth Wyrick of Magnolia and Mildred Lyons of Huntsville, Alabama; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 15, 2009 at 10:00 am at Central Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. Family visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be James Madden, Harold Jameson, David Hill, Barney Hugh Reeves, Bryce Cheatham, and Clayton Henry. Honorary pallbearers will be his Sunday School Class and Deacons of Central Baptist Church.
