Annette Shaw, of Magnolia, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas. Annette was born June 19, 1934 in Clanton, Alabama to the late James Arthur Broadhead and Berniece Williams Broadhead. Annette graduated from Clanton High School and attended the University of Montevallo studying music. She was a homemaker dedicated to her husband and family and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Denise Vansickle; and sister, Patricia Aldridge.
Annette (Mom) is survived by her husband, James B. Shaw (Pop), daughters, Jan Shaw Rogers and husband Mike of Destin, FL, and Bobbi Shaw Naylor and husband Gene of Jackson, MS, six grandchildren Michelle Rogers Arrington and husband Adam of Tulsa, OK, Melissa Rogers Dickson and husband Doug of Magnolia, AR, Jeremy Vansickle and wife Mariah of Magnolia, AR, Justin Vansickle of Magnolia, AR, Jennifer Naylor of Jackson, MS and Brad Naylor of Starkville, MS. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Katherine Arrington and Abigail Arrington of Tulsa, OK and Dayton Dickson and McKinsey Dickson of Magnolia, AR and numerous nieces and nephews. Annette is also survived by her many wonderful bridge companions who were also loyal and steadfast friends.
Visitation will be held at Lewis Funeral Home, Friday, February 27, 2015 from 6:00-8:00PM. A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery at 10:30AM, Saturday, February 28, 2015 with Rev. Michael Daniel officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Estes, Lonnie Roberson, Billy Cheatham, Bobby Moore, Thomas Wooley, and J.P. Wilson.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Asbury United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 1300 East University, Magnolia, AR 71753.
