George C. Buck, 67, of Shreveport died Wednesday night following a short illness. Mr. Buck was the brother of the late R. E. Buck, a former sheriff of Union County. He had lived in Magnolia for several years and worked for Monsanto Chemical Co., here. He was employed in Monsanto's Shreveport office until his retirement two years ago. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church of Magnolia. (The El Dorado Times - December 4, 1964)
