BLANKENSHIP, Mary Harriet PORTERFIELD - (from Garfield) Grandma Blankenship died Sunday night. Funeral services were held at the Ruddick school house.

(from Ozark) Grandma Blankenship died Sunday night at the home of her son after an illness of over five months. Her remains were interred in the Ruddick cemetery the following day, Rev. Thompson of Rogers conducting the funeral services. She was 87 years old and had resided in this community for a large number of years. She had been a member of the Christian church since about 1860. She leaves two children, James N. Blankenship of this place and Mrs. Louisa Garrett of Billings, Mo., a number of grand children and several great grand children to mourn their loss. The entire neighborhood will miss her and we all join in offering heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
