ROGERS — Cecil Lemuel "Dave" Davidson, 94, of Rogers passed away May 16, 2019. He was born Jan. 16, 1925, in Crowell, Texas, to the late Richard Lemuel Davidson and Lura Mae Beatty Davidson.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Naomi Lou Norwood Davidson; two children, Mary and Thomas Davidson, who passed in infancy and six siblings, Richard, Webb, Alma, Murt, Ordie and George.

Dave retired after a 35 year career with Southwestern Bell Telephone and spent several years as a door greeter at Walmart. He was a member of Grace Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, the Telephone Pioneers and the American Legion.

Survivors include his daughters, Sarah Jackson (Randy) of Rogers and Margaret Rhodes (Larry) of Missouri; son Mark Davidson of Texas; brother Mark Davidson (Karen) and sister Thelma Adams, both of Texas; grandchildren Cecilie Dover (Jim) of Bella Vista, Jennifer Geary (Josh) of Rogers, Brooks Johnson (Alisa) of Florida, Zachary Davidson of Rogers, Michael Leslie (Susan) of Texas and Nicole Rhodes of Fayetteville; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 1 at Grace Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 2451 W. Wedington Dr., Fayetteville. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Condolences may be expressed at www.RollinsFuneral.com.
