When Augusta Maine "Maney" Cato was born in February 1890 in Greenbrier, Arkansas, his father, Amos, was 26 and his mother, Martha, was 35. He had one son and three daughters with Nellie Rosabelle Peggram. He died on July 10, 1938, in Mayflower, Arkansas, at the age of 46, and was buried there.
