SPRINGDALE — Donald L. "Don" Offenbacker, 81, of Springdale, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice. He was born April 2, 1937, in Harrison to Earl and Sally Hensley Offenbacker.
He married Mary Jane Carnahan on Oct. 10, 1958, in Washington, D.C.
Don served in the Marine Corps and owned and operated D-Sign. He enjoyed riding his Harley, wood carving and sculpting, and could repair or build almost anything as he was very skilled in every aspect of remodeling.
He was a longtime member of Elmdale Baptist Church and served as head deacon. For 20 years Don and his wife were involved in mission work.
In addition to his wife, Mary Jane, he is survived by two sons, Spencer Offenbacker and wife Lisa and Eric Offenbacker and wife Kerry; one sister, Sue Burns; seven grandchildren, Spencer D., Josh, Matthew, Nicholas, Kyler and Kord Offenbacker, and Kelsey Puckett; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Elmdale Baptist Church. Interment with military honors will be at Friendship Cemetery Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Heritage Funeral Home, online obituary and guestbook at www.heritageofnwa.com.
