HUNTSVILLE — James Darrell Shepherd, age 69, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Springdale. He was born on Feb. 5, 1950, in Springdale, Ark., to James "Jim" and Bertha (Mounce) Shepherd.
He was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Terri Shepherd and brothers Troy Shepherd, Virgil Shepherd, and Preston Shepherd.
James was a devoted member of Forum Community Church in Forum, Ark. He raised hogs for Tyson as well as many years invested in a career of truck driving. First and foremost, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his three children, Jimmy Shepherd and wife Emily of Springdale, John Shepherd and wife Brandy of Coal Hill, and Dawn Trout and husband David of Clarksville; brother Leslie Shepherd; sisters Thelma Smith, Lois Harvey, and Donna Todd; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale. HUNTSVILLE — Terri Darlene Shepherd, age 63, of Huntsville passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016. She was born Sept. 3, 1953, in Harrison, Ark., the daughter of Edgal and Hazel Marie Holt. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She worked as a caregiver, was a member of Forum Community Church.
She is survived by her husband James Shepherd; two sons Jimmy Shepherd of Springdale and John Shepherd and his wife Brandy of Russellville; one daughter Dawn Trout and her husband David of Clarksville; one sister Melody Johns and her husband Tim of Clarksville; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 8, 2016, at the Forum Community Church with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
