SPRINGDALE -- H.C. Spradling, 84, of Springdale died Jan. 22, 2009, in Springdale. He was born Sept. 9, 1924, in Purdy, the son of Jasper Clyde and Willie Caldonia Grigg Spradling.

He was a World War II veteran of the Army, retired from the Fayetteville Veterans Hospital, a farmer and a member of Cornerstone Word Alive Church in Springdale.

He was preceded in death by one brother, J.C. Spradling and one great-grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Freeda I. Spradling of the home; four daughters, Greta Qualls and husband Richard of Avoca, Karen Gibbons and husband Kenny of Sapulpa, Okla., Vickie Judy and husband Rodney of Lowell, and Dena Klenc and husband John of Avoca; a son, Marlin Spradling and wife Nancy of Gravette; two sisters, Ruth Holloway of Springdale and Maxine Foster of Huntsville; two brothers, Rex Spradling of Springdale and Jasper Spradling of Huntsville; 13 grandchildern; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with grandson Pastor Dale Qualls officiating.

Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.

Pallbearers will be Dusty Qualls, Brian Qualls, Kristopher Gibbons, Blake Judy, Kevin Brown and Jeremy Brown.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m.

SPRINGDALE — Freeda Smith Spradling, age 87, of Springdale passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, in Rogers. She was born March 10, 1931, in Kingston, Ark., the daughter of Jewel O. and Altie Verdie Lane Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband HC Spradling, brother Cleburne Smith and great grandchild Lauren Qualls.

She loved painting, quilting, gardening, cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by four daughters, Greta Qualls and her husband Richard of Rogers, Ark., Karen Gibbons and her husband Kenny of Jenks, Okla., Vickie Judy and her husband Rodney of Lowell, Ark., and Dena Klenc and her husband John of Rogers, Ark.; son Marlin Spradling and his wife Nancy of Gravette, Ark.; brother Laverne Smith and wife Carolyn of Woodland, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with burial to follow at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.
