SPRINGDALE — Freda Nell Wentz, 63, of Springdale passed away Sunday July 17, 2016, at her home. She was born Jan. 11, 1953, in Springdale to William B. and Bertalee Walker Lee.
Freda worked for The Morning News and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. She also worked at Northwest Medical Center in Physician Staff Services and for the City of Bentonville in Records and Permits. She was a Taper of the Berachah Church in Houston, Texas, led by Pastor R.B. Thieme III.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers-in-law, Keith Wentz Jr., Carl Wentz, Carol Wentz and Kenneth Wentz; her father-in-law, Keith Wentz Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Wentz of the home whom she married on Dec. 26, 1971; one son, Carson G. Wentz of Springdale; three daughters, Andrea Cheader and husband Derek of Fayetteville, Julie Maxwell and husband Alex of Springdale, Mari Katharine Wittenberg and husband Frederick of Springdale; one brother, Roger Lee and wife Judy of Centerton; her mother-in-law Mary Wentz of Springdale; two brothers-in-law; Don Wentz of Golden City, Mo., and Terry Wentz and wife Paula of Springdale; two sisters, Janis Sanders and husband J.C. of Berryville and Nanetta Baird and husband Paul of Centerton; two sisters-in-law, Doris Treat and husband Marvin and Barbara Neil and husband Gene both of Springdale; five grandchildren, Mallorie Cheader, Sophia Maxwell, Allysa Foster, Jacob Cheader and Dillon Foster.
The memorial service will be Saturday, July 23, 2016, at 7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with David Don Wentz officiating.
