Alfred Eugene "Gene" Blasingame, 85, of Greenbrier, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Conway Regional Medical Center.
Born May 16, 1919 in El Paso, AR, a son of the late Louie Alfred and Effie Hancock Blasingame, he was a farmer, mechanic, mason, and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Margarett Hall Blasingame of Greenbrier; one daughter, Stella Standridge of Greenbrier; one sister, Mildred Clotine Burkett of Nevada; seven grandchildren; three step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and six step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, James Blasingame, one brother, Johnny D. Blasingame, and two sisters, Odean Owens and Corene Owens.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with burial following at Mayflower Cemetery.
Visitation is Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
