Burned in Fire on Homestead
Brother Artie died in the fire. Fred followed a creek with water to cool his burned body. His face, head, hands and body was disfigured.

When Fred Ray Beagles was born on May 18, 1917, in Oklahoma, his father, Edward, was 36 and his mother, Nancy, was 27. He had one son and one daughter with Dorothy Faye Bradshaw. He died on October 27, 1997, in Greenbrier, Arkansas, at the age of 80, and was buried in Mayflower, Arkansas.
