Pastor Larry Doggett age 67 of Monticello, AR died Saturday, July 5th at the Drew County Medical Center. He was born March 1st, 1947 in Pleasant Valley (Bradley County), a son of the late Rev. Oris Doggett and Ollie Sweeney Doggett. Larry was the Pastor of Life Church, he was the morning DJ on KHBM radio station, president of the Drew County Ministerial Alliance, the Chaplin for the Drew County Detention facility and a bus driver for the Monticello School District. Larry was a husband, father, pastor, giver and a great friend and help to those who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Betty Overton Doggett whom he married November 26th, 1965 in Magnet Cove, AR. A son Ronnie Doggett, Tulsa, OK and a daughter Kelly Word and spouse Josh, Monticello, AR a sister Phillis Williams and spouse Rev. Roy Williams, Warren, AR as well as a host of family, church family and friends. He loved and enjoyed his life; he was a walking testimony for God of excellence, character, honor, humility and integrity. Funeral services were 2:00PM Tuesday, July 8th at Life Church with Rev. Anthony Williams officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery (Bradley County) by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were composed of men from Life Church. In place of flowers the family is asking memorials be made to The Life Church Building Fund Box 1004, Monticello, AR 71657. Life Church was his dream and his family is working to make sure that his legacy continues.
