NEVADA ESTELLE HOWELL STANTON, 98, of Conway passed away on June 23, 2008, at Conway Regional Medical Center at 12:30 A.M.

The daughter of the late William Alexander Howell and Sarah Bradshaw Howell, she was born November 26,1909, in Faulkner county. A loving, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she filled her days as a homemaker and caregiver, all the while, a life-long member of the Bono Baptist Church. She was married for 41 years to her husband, Cletis Dewitt Stanton.

Survivors include her son, Gary Howell Stanton and his wife, Jeannie, and one daughter, Kay Stanton Pierce and her husband, Robert, all of Conway; three granddaughters, Michelle Stanton Mathis, Laura Stanton, and Lindsey Pierce Whitehead; two great-grand children, Wes Mathis, and Maegan Mathis; loved nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law Tony Dunlap.

Her husband, Cletis Dewitt Stanton, precedes her in death, as well as her brothers, William Dean Howell and James Philip Howell, and two sisters, Mary Howell Dunlap and Fathel Howell McKaskle.

Funeral services will be at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with the Rev. Don Chandler officiating on Wednesday June 25, 2008, 3:00 P.M. Burial will follow at the Bethlehem cemetery at Shady Grove. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 24.

Honorary Pallbearers are C. D. Atkinson, G. L. Griffin, Bill Mobbs, Thad Stanton, Bill Stewart, and Jerry Stewart. Pallbearers are Stanton Atkinson, Glen Austin, Eddie Dunlap, Kent Griffin, Braedon Hutchison, Tom Stanton, Dewayne Stanton, and Jerry Williams.
