Rozella L was the daughter of William C Owens and Amanda Vanlue Owens. She was the wife of 20 years to the late Earnest Taft of Fort Smith, Arkansas. She never had any children.
She was a past President of the Missionary Society, and past Youth Leader of the church and the Congress. Other affiliations included a member of Church Women United, past member of the Anna T Strickland Federated Club, and past President of the Citywide Cooperative Tea Organization. She attended Macedonia Elementary School in Alma, Arkansas. Graduated from Lincoln High School in Fort Smith, Arkansas Graduated from Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Drama and Elementary Education.
