Mr. Bill Ray Rye, 66 of Van Buren, Arkansas went home on Friday, July 24 in a local nursing home.
He was employed by the City of Van Buren, and worked for the Van Buren Water Department. Mr Rye was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, a mason, was the founder of the Rocking "R" riding club, had been a member of the Crawford County Mounted Patrol for several years, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his mother; Bennie Wilson, and the love of his life and mother of his children; Carolyn Rye. He was survived by daughters Marilyn Jones and husband Hank of Rudy, Arkansas, Tammy Maddox and husband Steve, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Arkansas, sisters Dee Gish and her husband Tommy of the Graphic Community, Carolyn Wilson of Alma, Arkansas, brother Homer Wilson and wife Becky of Greenbriar, Arkansas, grandchildren; Michael White and wife Candice, Misty Jones, Natasha Jones, Terry Maddox,great-grandchildren; Christian White, Katelyn White, Michael White Jr, Malachi Hernandez, and Haley Jones.
Pallbearers were Mike Allen, Richard Jones, Billy Hunter, Zeke Burns, Tommy Gish, and Ross Robinson. Honorary Pallbearers were Barry, Kenny, and Kenneth Coddington, Nolan Faubus, Allen Kaylor, Ralph Figley, Bo Myers, Mike Williams, and all Van Buren Municipal Utilities Employees.
