SPRINGDALE — Harold Lee Nelson, 81, of Springdale passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016. He was born July 24, 1934, in Seattle, Wash., to Arthur and Irene Nelson.
Harold was an Aeronautical Engineer graduating from the University of Washington. Retiring at the age of 52, he enjoyed working on the farm, going to the lake, boating, skiing and playing blackjack. He loved his Country and was a very patriotic man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Anna Nelson; one brother, "Bud" Nelson; one sister, Ella Elftman.
Survivors include one son; Scott Nelson and wife Selena of Denham Springs, Louisiana; one daughter, Karen Beers and husband Kelly of Fayetteville; one brother, Walt Nelson and wife Joyce of Olympia, Wash.; one grandchild, Samantha Chinault and two step grandchildren, Andrew and Brian Beers.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 9, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial will follow in Sonora Cemetery.
Visitation will take place Monday one hour prior to the service.
