September 20, 1919 - March 17, 1999
Monta Beckham Dotson, 79, of Roland, formerly of Fort Smith, died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, in Roland. She was the retired owner of Monta's Beauty Shop, charter member of Unity Baptist Church in Fort Smith, and Order of the Eastern Star, Harmony Chapter No. 4445, Past Worthy Matron.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Smith with burial at Alma City Cemetery in Alma under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Owens of Roland; three grandchildren, Monta Cooper and Donny Anderson, both of Fort Smith, and Lisa Reedy of Houston, Texas; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be George and Eldoe Owens, Donny Anderson, Todd Cooper, George Greb, and Bill Douglas.
