Rev. Dr. Troy Lynn Pritt of Warren, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, July 8th at 10:10 PM, at St. Vincents Hospital in Little Rock, AR.
Pritt was born April 20, 1938 in Elkins, W.Va. to Troy Wye Pritt and Glenoka Mae Stalnaker Pritt.

Dr. Pritt had served the pulpit at Dermott Presbyterian Church for a number of years. Prior to that from 1987-2000, he served the Edwards-Rogers Larger Parish in Bradley County which were a group of Presbyterian Churches in Banks, Hermitage, and Johnsville, Arkansas in Bradley County. Prior to that he had served in the pulpit in Covington, Tennessee, Fairlea, West Virginia, Parsons, West Virginia, and Winffield, West Virginia. Dr. Pritt was a graduate of the University of Maryland, Reformed Episcopal Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina.

He served honorably for twenty three years, beginning with the U.S. Marine Corps, then briefly in the U.S. Air Force, and finally the most of his service in the U.S. Army. He was honorably discharged from all branches and served as a Russian translator during the height of the Cold War, serving in Alaska, the United Kingdom, and in West Berlin.

After retiring fulltime from the ministry, Pritt served seven years in the Arkansas Public School System as a fulltime substitute teacher in both Hermitage and Warren Public Schools in Bradley County. He went onto write a number of award winning novels, the first was a biography of his father, but the others were fictional novels that still can be found online through Amazon.com and other online services.

Pritt is survived by his wife of sixty years, Lorraine Catherine Barrows Pritt also of Warren, Arkansas originally of Baltimore, Maryland, as well as two sisters, Beverly Baker and her husband Raymond Baker of Baltimore, Maryland, Donna Cummins and her husband Steve Cummins of Chappell Hill, Texas and a brother, Marshall Pritt and his wife Danetta Pritt of New Port Richey, Florida and one surviving sister in law, Ruth B. Godey of Timonium, Maryland. They also are survived by son Paul T. Pritt and his wife Sandra M. Pritt of Memphis, Tennessee, son Mark D. Pritt and his wife Christine P. Pritt of Walkersville, MD., son David B. Pritt and wife Kim L. Pritt of Watertown, New York, and son Andrew C. Pritt of North Little Rock, Arkansas. He also is survived by twelve grandchildren and 1 great grandchild on the way.
Funeral service was 2:00PM Tuesday, July 17th at Hickory Springs ARP Church with Rev. Philip Farris officiating. Burial with Military honors followed in Hickory Springs Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Paul Pritt, Mark Pritt, David Pritt, Andrew Pritt, Evan Tanner, and Timothy Kessler. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Davis, Dr. Kerry Pennington, Dr. Joe H. Wharton, Stephen Smith, Buddy McCaskill, Chris Anders, Benny Lowry, Pat Hammons, Dr. John Durmon, Dr. Scott Claycomb, Wilmot Green, Dr. Gerald Crispin, Ray Jones, Ron Brunson, Dr. Michael Bauer, Dr. Andrew Kumpuris, Dr. Bob Smalling, Phillip Mayer, Rev. Dr. R.J. Hampton, Jim Scott, John Lipton, Charles Ferrell, John B. Frazer, Jr., and Greg Harton.
