Mary Lee Wright Gilmore was born January 3, 1880 in Alma, Arkansas to Mr and Mrs Silas Wright (pioneer family of Alma). She passed from this life on November 1, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio from injuries received in an automobile accident that occurred on Sunday, October 26 while she and her husband, Joe were driving to church. She was 67 years old. She was survived by her husband, Joe; daughter Mrs Olen Black; sisters, Mrs Lillie Carry and Mrs Lulu Jones of Fort Smith, Arkansas; brothers, W S Wright and Paul Wright; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ira Comstock, Dell Miller, Claud Wallace, Bill Wallace, B J Duke and John Taylor.
