Name of father: Jesse Caraway, born in "Wane" County,NC & lived in West Tennessee and died in Hood Co. TX, son of Bryant Caraway of West TN, Obion Co. TN

Name of mother: Elizabeth Keathley, daughter of Daniel Keathley of Obion Co. TN

Remarks: Grandfather Keathley fought in the Rev. War. Grandmother and Grandfather are Irish decent

Education: Early education in East TN.

Teachers: John Brickhouse, Julia Boggs, and Louis Boyett

Military service: 24th TX Infantry, Co. C, in which I served for a while and then I was transferred to 1st Texas Battery and served to close of war. The battery was made up at Tyler, Smith Co. TX and commanded by James Douglass.

Church connection: Christian Church - Deacon at one time

Organizations: Blue Lodge & Chapter and Council and have "halt" positions in all these Lodges.

Wife & date of marriage: Francis Bibb Cheek, married on Nov 15, 1865 in Hood Co. TX, daughter of Dr. Penalton Cheek and Elizabeth McDanniel Cheek of Hood Co. TX
