Margaret Sue Brown, 82, of Alma, Arkansas passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at a local nursing home. She was a 1953 graduate of Alma High School, a retired employee of 39 years at Dixie Cup and rocked babies at Alma First Baptist Church nursery for 50 years. She was born March 14, 1935 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to James and Mary Jane Carr. Her father died at a very early age and she was raised by her mother and a very loving step father, William Ray Cole. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and step father.

Service will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Alma First Baptist Church with interment at Alma City Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Donna Lynn (Paul) Smith Cotta of Pampa, Texas and Tamera (John) Inge of Alma, Arkansas; 1 son, James Michael Brown of Alma, Arkansas; 1 brother, James Patrick (Joy) Carr; 1 sister, Della Jane Douglas, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a very special friend, Margie Shepherd of Mountainburg, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Brent Preston, Brandon Inge, Cody Smith, Colter Smith, Jarek Pulliam, Lane Inge and Kaden Sevenstar.

Honorary pallbearers will be Misty Sevenstar, Crystal Pulliam, Kristen Brown, Laycee Becker, Brooke Hinrichs, Miranda Herrin, Shaylee Chambers, Darian Preston, Alyssa Preston and Aniyah Smith.
