Barbara Rose Ellett Dail, daughter of the late Charles Ellett and Blanche Baker Ellett, was born March 12, 1937, in Stinesville, Indiana. She departed this life on November 7, 2005, in Calico Rock. She was 68 years old.
She was united in marriage to Roy Dail, Sr. on September 21, 1970, in Upland, Indiana. She spent her life as a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Barbara had a special love for poetry; she was a member of the Baxter County Poetry Society and a past three term president of the Indiana State Federation of Poetry. She was an avid reader and a member of the Arkana Baptist Church.
Barbara leaves to mourn her passing; her husband of 35 year, Roy Dail, Sr. of the home; one daughter and son-in-law Debra and David Dail of Old Joe; two sons, Rev. Patrick James Daniels of Phillips, Wisconsin, David Daniels of Salesville; three step sons: Roy Dial, Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana, Douglas J. Dail of Frankfort, Kentucky and David K. Dail of Old Joe; two sisters; Nelma Mullin of Mtn. Home and Carol Miller of Spencer, Indiana; one brother, Jackie Ellett of Indiana; eleven grandchildren, Michael Dail, Jerry Dail, Churistine Dail, Elizabeth Dail, Amber Daniels, Ryan Daniels, Jason Daniels, Johathan Daniels, James Daniels, Emily Daniels and Joshun Daniels; four great grandchildren: Brianne Dail, Autum Nicole Dail, Christepher Dail and Logan Dail and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Elizabeth Daniels and one son, Jonathon Daniels.
Funeral services were held November 10, 2005, at the Arkana Baptist Church with Tom Stover and Patrick Daniels officiating. Pallbearers were Jonathon Daniels, James Daniels, Ryan Daniels, Frankey Meeks, Jr., Jimmy David Meeks and Danny Rodman. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Mullin, Frank Meeks, Jason Daniels and Robert Dail. Interment was at Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
