Billy (Joe) Crosno of Hoxie, Arkansas
December 22, 1940 - May 12, 2019

Hoxie- On the Morning of May 12, 2019, Billy (Joe) Crosno went to be with the Lord. He passed peacefully in his home at the age of 78.

Joe was born to Coy and Helen Patterson Crosno on December 22, 1940 in Boydsville, Arkansas. In 1962 he married Jean Crosno in Hammond, Indiana, and together they raised two sons, Mike and Steve Crosno.

Joe was a Navy veteran. For 14 years, Joe and Coy operated an over the road trucking company. For over 35 years he enjoyed operating Crosno and Sons Construction Inc. Joe loved his family and his work. He was an avid duck hunter in his spare time. Joe was known for his contagious smile and great sense of humor.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife Jean, his father Coy, his mother Helen, and a niece MaryAnn Davis.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Amanda Crosno of Hoxie, and Steve and Cindy Crosno of Hoxie; one sister Fran Rose of Charleston; two grandchildren Sarah Orrick (Logan) of Portia and Cole Crosno of Hoxie, and a great-granddaughter Shiloh, and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. The funeral will be Friday, May 17, 2019 at 12 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home. Roger Brand will officiate. Interment will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. Military honors will be rendered.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Glen Smith, Dennis Coggins, Cole Crosno, Carl Rose, Logan Orrick, and Nathaniel Aaron.

Honorary pallbearers are Paul Propst, John Hambrick, and Eggie Tedder.

WALNUT RIDGE -- Norma Jean Crosno, 61, died Tuesday.

She was a homemaker and member of Holly Island Baptist Church.

She is survived by husband Joe Crosno of Walnut Ridge; mother, Vera Vahst of Monticello, Ind.; sons, Michael Crosno of Walnut Ridge and Steven Crosno of Oklahoma City; one sister; three brothers; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at House-Gregg Chapel in Walnut Ridge with Paul Segraves officiating. Burial will follow at Lawrence Memorial Park.

Visitation is today from 5:30-8 p.m.
