February 21, 1929 - March 5, 1998
Brooks Treece, 69, of Alma Died Thursday, March 5, 1998 in his home after a long illness.
He was a member of Alma Church of Christ, the National Order of the Elks, the Alma Area Chamber of Commerce, the Arkansas Good Roads Committee representing Crawford County and the Arkansas Soil and Water Conservation Committee. He was a mason and served as a Democratic committeeman for Alma precincts 1,2 and 3. He was elected chairman of the Crawford County Democratic Committee and the Crawford County Election Commission.
He was survived by his wife, Inez; two daughters, Deborah Treece and Valerie Elam, both of Alma; two sons, Tim and Scott both of Alma; his parents, Chloe and J.B. Treece of Dalano, California; two sisters, Betty McClain of Mena and Shirley Kimberlin of Carpinteria, California; and eight grandchildren.
