SPRINGDALE — Richard "Rich" Lynn Coffman, 56, of Springdale passed away Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Feb. 3, 1961, in Springfield, Mo., to Merrel and Ruth Klingensmith Coffman.
He was a devoted husband and a great Dad to his kids. He was a gentle giant with a big heart who loved playing Santa. He was known as the "Can Man" working in recycling. Rich was a top 10 lineman for the Mountain Grove Panther football team. He loved getting five yard penalties for delay of game in kicking extra points for field goals. He always looked for the good in a person.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Butch Coffman, Joe Higby and Merrel D. Coffman.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Coffman of the home; four children, Lance Coffman and Jacob Coffman, both of Springdale, Jessica Coffman of Springdale and T.J. Mackey of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Jerry Coffman and wife Kathy of Willow Springs, Mo.; and one sister, Murlene Pamperien and husband Max of Mountain Grove, Mo.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial will follow in Sonora Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. before the funeral on Wednesday.
