Doris Winnifred (Rhodes) Kreis, 82 of Conway, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2008. Born in Flat River, Missouri on February 24, 1926, she was a daughter to the late Arthur Franklin and Bessie Leona (Campbell) Rhodes and the widow of the late Rev. William Lewis Kreis. Doris was a loving mother, encourager, friend and pastor's wife for over 50 years. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, cooking and raising her family to love the Lord; she will be missed by all who knew her.

A grandson Robert Joseph Mack and a brother Raymond Rhodes preceded her in death.

Doris is survived by her four daughters: Susan Mack and husband Joe of Murfreesboro, TN, Karen Foshee and husband Jerry of Greenbrier, AR, Mary Ann Melson and husband Rick and Elizabeth Wise and husband Gary all of Gassville, AR; nine grandchildren Brian Foshee and wife Maren of Fort Worth, TX, Amy Bennett of Murfreesboro, TN, Amanda Blue of Greenbrier, AR, John Melson, and Jeff Melson both of Stillwater, OK Kristen Melson, Rebecca Wise, Rachel Wise and Mathew Wise all of Gassville, AR; five great-grandchildren: Anna and Ella Blue of Greenbrier, AR and Isaac and Ian Bennett of Murfreesboro, TN and Carson Foshee of Fort Worth, TX; three sisters: Mary Huff of Doe Run, MO, Helen Hiatt of Cape Girardeau, MO and Naomi Russell of Farmington, MO and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 15 at CrossPoint Baptist Church in Greenbrier, interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
