SPRINGDALE — Beatrice M. Butler, 82, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at the Walnut Grove Nursing and Rehab Center in Springdale. Beatrice was born in Hamtown, Ark., on Nov. 22, 1931.

She was the widow of the late Moda Frank Butler. She worked many years for the Levi Strauss Co. and after retiring, she worked and managed the Springdale Bowl Cafe for over 20 years. She enjoyed bowling and playing games with her friends at Joker's.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Frazier; and one son, Jackie Frank Butler.

She is survived by one son, Dwight Butler and wife, Margaret, of Sonora; two daughters, Janie Pray and husband, Eddie, of Sonora, and Diana Hale and husband, Jim, of Dutch Mills; three grandchildren, Casey Pray, Jima Jetton and husband, Jimmie, and Curtis Hough; and one great-granddaughter, Taryn Jetton.

Visitation for Beatrice will be held on today, Jan. 29, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Jan 30, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the Joyce Cemetery near Nob Hill. Brother Jason Taylor will officiate the service.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.
