Herbert "Gene" Rose, 85, of Alma, Arkansas died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 in his home. He was born December 6, 1922 in Davis County, Indiana. He was a retired self employed mason and he served in the US Navy during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Iola Mae Rose. He is survived by daughters, Cora Lee of Roland, Oklahoma, Debi Spears and husband Kent of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Donna Smith and husband Gary of Alma, Arkansas, Lisa Harrison and husband Mike of Mountainburg, Arkansas and Wanda Osman and husband Steve of Rudy, Arkansas; son, Richard Rose of Melbourne, Florida; 4 sisters, 5 brothers, 13 grand -children, 7 great grandchildren & 1 great-great grandchild.
