James Edward Sullivent, Sr, "Jim Ed" 74,of Alma, Arkansas entered into rest on Saturday, January 14, 2012 in Fort Smith. He is survived by wife Virginia Sullivent, sons Jimmy Sullivent, Jr. and Tommy Sullivent both of Alma, grandson, Jimmy Sullivent, III, granddaughter Amanda Oliver both of Alma, great granddaughters, Cambrey Sullivent and Taylor Tune of Alma, great grandson, Alex James Oliver, sisters Nina Ruth Hamlin of Greenwood, Doris Ann Dody of Newton, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Hazel Sullivent.
He was a member of Concord Baptist Church where he taught R A and Sunday School teacher and active with the 55 plus- Van Buren Chapter of Gideon. Retired from Jim Conoco after 26 years and retired from driving School Bus. Retired from Fire Chief of Rural Fire District 6, President of Oak Grove Water Association, Board of Director Arkansas Rural Firefighter Association.
Pallbearers were Charles Wiley, Ron Green, Bobby Reeves, Tim Oldhas, Gary Funderburg and Larry Black. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Rankin, Ken Stell, H B Chronister, Jim Leasure, Alan Sims, Stanley Rankin, District 6 Board of Directors and Oak Grove Water Board Directors.

Virginia Sullivent, 75, of Alma entered into rest Saturday, October 5, 2013, in Fort Smith. She was born February 28, 1938, in Van Buren, the daughter of Tom and Martha Bryant. She was a homemaker and a member of Concord Baptist. Virginia was the widow of the late Jim Ed Sullivent, and they were married for 54 years. She was preceded in death by brother, Tommy Bryant and sisters Ann Green and Clara Burkhart.
Survivors include sons, Jimmy Sullivent, Jr and Tommy Sullivent and wife Freddia; grand children Jimmy Sullivent, III and Amanda Oliver; great-grandchildren, Cambrey Sullivent, Taylor Tune, Alex Oliver and Hayden Sullivent and brother, Bobby Joe Bryant.
Pallbearers were Ron Green, Jimmy Sullivent III, Morgan Oliver, Dennis Burchart, Austin Bishop and Gary Lee Reichart.
Honorary pallbearers were Jo Ellen Chronister, Mary Hobbs, Belinda Shelly, Cindy Green, Robin Tittle, Sandy Ellison, Jean Stell, Joyce Corbell and her "Little Boys" and District 6 VFD Firemen.
