When Elsie B. (Acton) Hallman was born on December 23, 1900, in Arkansas, her father, Thomas, was 41, and her mother, Martha, was 27. She married Gilbert Roland Hallman. Old Cheraw on August 20, 1918, in Faulkner, Arkansas. They had two children during their marriage. She died on April 19, 1958, in Faulkner, Arkansas, at the age of 57, and was buried in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
