Joel R. Corona, age 91, of Summit, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Community Compassion Center in Yellville, Arkansas.
Mr. Corona was born March 4, 1928, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Benjamin C. and Delia Z. (McFehrin) Corona. He had worked as an electronics technician for Kraft Foods. He moved to the area in 1989 coming here from Forrest Park, Georgia. Joel was Baptist by faith; his hobbies included woodworking. Joel was a United States Navy veteran of World War II where he served as Signalman 3.
Joel is survived by his son Alan Dale Corona and his wife, Jane, of Molena, Georgia; his grandson Joseph Andrew Corona and his wife, Carrie, of Dallas, Georgia; two great-granddaughters: Isabella and Savannah; his niece Linda Casteel and her husband, Bob; and his nephew John Setzer and his wife, Mary, all of Summit, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; and his son Joel Michael.
Private arrangements are by Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.
