Jimmie Lee Gean, 81, of Conway, passed away Friday, October 28, 2005, at UAMS in Little Rock. Born August 20, 1924, in Greenbrier, a daughter of the late Sam W. and Ermon (Kirkpatrick) Watson, she retired from SAS Shoe Factory and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Greenbrier. Jimmie was well known in Faulkner County and had many friends. She was very active in church activities as well as the Pilot Club. She enjoyed traveling and being outdoors. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Herbert L. Gean of Conway; a daughter, Sue Stafford of Tulsa, OK; a granddaughter, Denise Kilman of Tulsa; three great-granddaughters, Amy, Daryl, and Renee; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and nine siblings, Floy Hargrove, Ruby Ford, Faber Watson, Ules Watson, Sam Watson, Wilma Vann, Meredith Lowenstein, Joe Deal Watson, and infant sister, Maryland Watson. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Bro. Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Bethlehem Baptist Church Adult Sunday school class.
