Christine "Ma" Garrison, 89, of Greenbrier, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 10th, 2006 after a lengthy illness. She was born March 23rd, 1917 in Guy, Arkansas to Henry and Beulah Weatherly Sims and graduated from Guy-Perkins High School, worked on the farm and was a homemaker. She married Dennis Garrison on August 31, 1947 and moved to Greenbrier where they built their home that she would live in for the rest of her life. Her parents and her husband preceded her in death. Mrs. Christine was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Greenbrier and enjoyed sewing, growing African violets, quilting, reading, and making homemade cakes and pies. Mrs. Christine is survived by a daughter: Leatha Gale Garrison of Greenbrier, and a son: Carl Garrison and his wife Karen of Greenbrier. She was "Ma" to her only grandchild: Whitney Garrison of Maumelle. Other survivors include her sister: Treva Henry of Conway, nieces, Anna Ruth Kennedy of Conway and Joyce Talley of Vilonia, and other nieces, nephews, friends and the extended Victory family. Funeral services will be held Monday, 2:00 p.m., November 13th at Bethlehem Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Craig Branham, Rev. R.B. Hoshaw and Bro. Freddie Mark Wilcox with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. The immediate family will be receiving family and friends (visitation) at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon, November 12th, from 2-4 p.m. Arrangements are by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Greenbrier (501.679.2575). Pallbearers will be: Pete Victory, Sam Victory, Jerry Terry, Frank Hardy, Kelly Glover and Brandon Victory. Honorary pallbearers are: James Daniel Chambers, Larry Garrison and Jerry Nash. The family would like to thank the staff of the Odyssey Health Care for the excellent treatment and attention given to our loved one. We also would like to thank her caregivers for their care over the past few . years. A special thank you goes to Mrs. Sue and Julie Johnson for the continuous care you provided Mrs. Christine the last few days of her life. We would also like to thank Dr. Lander Smith for the excellent care given to Mrs. Christine.
