June 19, 1881 - February 10, 1966
Mrs. Lillian Alcinda Rice, 84, died in a local nursing home Thursday morning. She was the widow of Henry W. Rice. She was born in Quincy, Ill., June 19, 1881, her father being John Andrew Poindexter. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Smackover. Survivors include one son, Max Rice of Smackover; one step-son, Vernon R. Rice, Sr., Crystal City, Mo.; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Kate Ingram of Smackover. Funeral services were conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist Church of Smackover with the Rev. Harold K. David officiating. Burial was in Cross Roads Cemetery under the direction of Young's. (The El Dorado Times - February 11, 1966)
