SPRINGDALE (Special) - Atla J. Macon, 73, of Springdale died this morning at his home. Born Dec. 29, 1887 at Spring Valley, he was a member of Pilgrim's Rest Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors are the widow, Lillie Graham Macon; six sons, Edward, Jack, Q.G., Floyd and Tommy, all of Springdale and Oliver of Riverside, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Alma Cole of Ontario, Calif., Mrs. Freda Hammond of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Barbara Bowerman of Mesquite, Tex., Mrs. Maybelle Finchum of Woodward, Okla.; one brother, W.G. Macon of Springdale; one sister, Mrs. Cynthia Cook of Turlock, Calif., 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Callison-Sisco Funeral Home by the Rev. Vivan Rhodes. Burial will he in Joyce cemetery.

Springdale — Mrs. Lillie Macon 72, of Route 3, Springdale, was dead on arrival at Springdale Memorial Hospital yesterday. She was born Jan. 3, 1894 at Pilgrim Rest and was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors are five sons, Edward, Q.G., Oliver and Floyd, all of Springdale, and Jack of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Frieda Hammond of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Barbara Bowerman of Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Maybell Fincham; one sister, Mrs. Stella James of Springdale; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements will be announced by Sisco Funeral Chapel.
