When Thomas Jasper Clark was born on August 2, 1884, in Springfield, Arkansas, his father, Samuel, was 26 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 26. He married Willie Della Sledge on October 15, 1904, in Conway, Arkansas. They had four children in 15 years. He died in June 1964 in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 79, and was buried in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
