DRYDEN, Mallissa H. WEBB - Mallissa H. Webb Dryden died at her home January 17th and was buried in Tuck's Chapel cemetery following funeral services held by Rev. A.J. Deason. She was born in Tennessee in 1851 and came to this section with her parents when a small child. She united with the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church when but 13 years of age and remained a member for 60 years. Mrs. Dryden was married to James N. Dryden in 1866 and to them were born eight children, all of whom were with their mother at her death. Among her survivors are her children: Mrs. Donnie Potts, Bentonville; Wm. Dryden, Mrs. Mary Stalcup, John of Gravette; Rice Dryden, Mrs. Myrtle Miller, Fred and Lee Dryden, 20 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, also a brother.

Mallissa H. Webb was born in Tennessee May 2nd, 1851 and came with her parents to this country when a small child. She professed hope in Christ when 13 years of age and united with the Pleasant Hill Baptist church more than 60 years ago and was still a member at her death. She was married to James N. Dryden Sept. 2nd, 1866 and to this union were born eight children, five sons and three daughters, all of whom were here when she died. Mrs. Dryden departed this life Jan. 17th, 1929 at the age of 77 years, eight months and 15 days. She leaves to mourn her loss her children - Mrs. Donnie Potts, Bentonville; William Dryden, Mrs. Mary Stalcup, John, Gravette; and Rice Dryden, Mrs. Myrtle Miller, Fred and Lee Dryden; also 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Henry Webb of Joplin, Mo. and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A.J. Deason Friday, Jan. 18th, 1929. Interment in Tuck's Chapel cemetery in charge of J.W. Bryant.
