Earl Gene Borah

Earl Gene Borah, 65, of Walnut Ridge, died June 3, 2018, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

Born June 28, 1952, in Walnut Ridge, he was a department manager at Walmart for almost 40 years. He was a charter member of United Free Will Baptist Church and loved gospel singing, farming and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Gladys Lingo Borah; and a sister, Maleta Scudder.

Survivors include his wife of almost 41 years, Joan McNutt Borah, whom he married July 15, 1977, in Pocahontas; two daughters, Gena Morris and husband Josh, Paragould, and Carrie Biggs and husband Cory, Little Rock; a sister, Lucille Streetman, Jonesboro; a granddaughter, Katie Lynn Morris; and a grandson on the way.

Graveside service is today at 10 a.m. at Lawrence Memorial Park with Glenn Smith officiating. Cox Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Barry Tolson, Dave Davis, Craig Williams, Brad Williams, Walker Phillips, Kerry Callahan, Matt Callahan, Ty Callahan and Ron Cavenaugh.
