GARFIELD — Jesse "Mike" Cannon, 61, of Garfield died June 22, 2008, at the Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. He was born Aug. 29, 1946, in Bainbridge, Ga., to Brewer Jesse and Gladys Goff Cannon.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and Panama. He was a member of Dry Prairie Baptist Church in Duette, Fla., and the Masonic Lodge Orion 8 in Bainbridge. He married Judy Turner on May 29, 1976. He was employed by Tyson Foods in Rogers for 19 years in industrial maintenance and was an industrial electrician and a team member of ERT Hazmat. He was a volunteer fireman for Nebco since 2003 and a volunteer member of the fire boat crew.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Cannon; a son, Corey Cannon of Garfield; a daughter, Stacey Cannon of Gentry; a brother, Gordon "Hank" Cannon of Brinson, Ga.; a sister, Inez Whittle of Albany, Ga.; two half brothers, Jimmy Cannon of Samson, Ala., and Billy Cannon of Monticello, Fla.; two half sisters, Alice Leavins and June Davis, both of Florida; two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. Friday at the Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Leroy Thompson officiating.

Burial will be in the Ruddick Cemetery with military honors conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3031.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nebco Volunteer Department, Station 2, P.O. Box 205, South Wimpy Jones Road, Garfield, 72732.

GARFIELD — Judith Cannon, 65, of Garfield, died Thursday, Oct. 13. Survivors companion, Al Donze; one son, Corey Cannon; two brothers; two grandchildren. Service set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, New Prospect Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. before the service begins. Online condolences may be made at siscofuneralhome.net.
